The inaugural meeting of the Downhill Film Club. We’ll be talking about Wong Kar-Wei’s 1994 classic Chungking Express. We’ll kick things off with a quick introduction from Nicholas Kuechler [co-owner of the Cinemagic Theater, and host of the Hong Kong centric film series Cinema City], followed by a group discussion. After that, we’ll have the space reserved until close, for anyone who just wants to hang out and talk movies.

Chungking Express can be seen on Sunday (4/13) at 4:40, and Monday (4/14) at 7:00 at the Cinemagic theater, and is readily available on streaming and rental.

The downhill film club meets at 7:00 at Gift Bar, on the first and third Wednesday of every month.
